The CEPI Youth Conference 2018 brought together youth from across Unama’ki (Cape Breton) to listen to stories, discuss and debate ideas, and offer their own insights that will inspire the future of the Island. The conference was designed around three pillars: Leadership, Sustainability, and Entrepreneurship, with a focus on the Bras d’Or Lakes and the environmental stewardship of the Island. Participants heard from those who have championed the environment all while building thriving enterprises, in addition to workshops facilitated by leaders across sectors, backgrounds, and of all ages. They were also encouraged to share their own stories, dreams, and aspirations as they relate to building a future in Cape Breton.
